Volunteer in South Africa
Come to South Africa and volunteer at one of our many ongoing projects. You can be helping in a Township with everything from working in a school to painting and decorating. Alternatively, you can work in a design studio. Find out more below. Or, come to South Africa for one of our many College Courses first for up to six months. You will get an accredited qualification which will help you in your chosen field. You will also get an opportunity to work with a volunteer organisation doing development projects.

Here is how it works;
If you are in your Gap Year, wanting a few weeks away or just want a holiday with a difference, then apply to join our amazing Volunteering Course, a short drive from Durban or around Cape Town. The Projects are different and depend on your chosen location. The duration can be from 2 to 8 weeks
Volunteering plus Education
Join our High School Exchange Programme and also register also for Volunteering either at the weekends or school holidays with one of our linked Volunteering Courses around Howick ( KZN area ) or Stellenbosch. Our High School Experience programme runs from 1 month to 1 academic year

Animal Rescue Centre (Tears)
TEARS Animal Rescue is one of the country’s leading organisations. Its mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home domestic animals, as well as provide veterinary services to local communities.
Marine Welfare Societies
Shark Warrior Adventures, operating from our beach-front Shark Warrior Adventure Centre, offers water sport activities, marine courses and dive expeditions. They positively impact on global ocean and wildlife conservation through a growing network of responsible travelers.
Helping Cheetahs at the Cheetah Sanctuary
Near Somerset West, Cheetah Outreach is an education and community-based programme created to raise awareness of the plight of the cheetah and to campaign for its survival

Township (Masiphumelele) Volunteering
During your internship in Masiphumelele you will be given the choice of helping in the school in either the English, Maths, Science or Sports Department. There is also the chance to help with IT / Computer Skills or work in the Library. All the classes are large & lively so be prepared for a hectic day. Many of our English or Maths classes are led by English, American or Australian teachers.
Good at Sewing? Then come and help in the Sewing Café, where you can help teach students to sew as well as teach them computer skills and tasks to enable them to set up their own business.
If these are not for you then you could work in the Creche/Nursery, Painting and Decorating or helping with the Vegetable Garden & Allotments. There is always a huge selection to choose from. We also run schemes harvesting & preparing Vegetable Gardens in Khayelitsha for local residents.
